Absolute Best Liver and Onions Recipe
This recipe will turn liver haters into converts. Very simple! The three things that will set your liver above all others are: 1) soak in milk, 2)turn liver as little as possible and 3) don't overcook!
Caramelized sweet onions enhance the flavor of thinly sliced, quickly sauteed liver. Add crisply fried bacon bits for variation.
Great recipe. I am a big liver and onions fan so I'll eat it any way it comes out, but the milk is magic. It even improved the texture which a lot of people dislike. If you're making liver and onions, this IS the recipe!
OK...i have never had to make liver before but I always had it as a child and I liked it. I found this recipe so I decided to go for it and introduce my teenagers to liver and onions. One kid loved it, one kid hated it. Hubby used to hate liver but said he liked this. I however did not like it. Dont get me wrong, the recipe is good but I dont think i will ever make liver again. I think my tastes have changed over the years. But thanks for a very easy good recipe.

This was excellent! My SO loves beef liver and onions, but although I love chicken livers, I've never really been a fan of beef liver. This recipe totally did away with the bitterness and toughness. It was so tender and flavorful! We both enjoyed this very much and will make it again often. Thanks so much!
